Mike King works with individuals or couples for a 50-minute hour. His standard fee is $200.00 per hour, but he occasionally slides or lowers his fees, depending on the client’s hourly availability and schedule. He meets clients in his office in Torrance, CA, or virtually using a secure Zoom connection.
After an initial telephone or email conversation, first-time clients will be scheduled for a 50-minute session with Mike to get to know each other in greater depth. This allows Mike to understand fully what the client is seeking. It offers an opportunity for people to ask any questions they might have after the initial conversation.
Should either Mike or the client feel that they are not a match, the session will not be billed. The session will only be included in the total bill if they both decide to begin working together.
Mike King is not on any insurance panels. He offers everyone he works with a superbill at the end of the month. This document contains all the codes and information necessary for an insurance company to reimburse the insured if their policy allows for reimbursement.
The private practice of Mike King is seen as an “out-of-network provider” by insurance companies as well as different companies and policies.
When I meet someone for the first time after an initial telephone or email conversation, I like to schedule a fifty-minute session with that person in which we get to know each other in greater depth. This allows me to understand more fully what they are seeking, and it enables them to learn more easily what it’s like to work with me. It also offers each of us an opportunity to ask questions we might have after our initial telephone or email conversation. Should either of us feel we are not a match after this meeting, I do not bill for the session. If we decide to begin working together, I will bill for the session. My fee is $220 per hour.
